Agita São Paulo

Agita São Paulo   is a public awareness campaign initiated in São Paulo , Brasil by Dr. Victor Matsudo and colleagues  to encourage daily physical activity for at least 30 minutes. The nature of the program is outlined in Spanish, Portuguese and English. From its local beginning, the awareness program has been widely adopted, and recently was launched as the Agita Mundo Network. It is coordinated by a nongovernmental organization (NGO) in accord with Brazilian regulations for non-profit organizations . An international advisory board provides guidance and oversight. The Network welcomes support and alliances with international and national organizations, but will not be a membership organization. By remaining independent of both governments and international organizations it can relate to all groups, act quickly, and serve as a forceful advocate for global daily physical activity. Agita Mundo Network  provides a focus for local and global advocacy and initiatives, particularly in celebrating the Agita Mundo/Move for Health Day

The Combined Health Information Data Base, is a bibliographic database produced by health-related agencies of the United States Federal Government. This database provides titles, abstracts, and availability information for health information and health education resources. CHID lists a health promotion and education materials and program descriptions that are not indexed elsewhere. New records are added quarterly and current listings are checked regularly to help ensure that entries are up to date and still available from their original sources. Some older records are retained for archival purposes. CHID is updated four times a year. The updated database is available at the end of these months: January, April, July, and October. In this as in any comprehensive database the evaluation of merit is left to the user.
