18 May 2008, Surrey, BC
It may be doing so if you are monitoring change by body weight and assumptions that this or any simple ratio such as the BMI is adequate for individual assessment. (See BMI: conspiracy of Ignorance, www.rosscraft.ca ).

Even with quality nutrition and you eat “colorful meals” rich in vitamins and antioxidants, you must realize that dieting is partial starvation. Persistence could lead to death.

Mary Ross Announces A New Publication Policy (May 15/08)

15 May 2008
Mary Ross President of Rosscraft announced a new publication policy, a three volume copyrighted collation of Animated Essays for Human Biologists and Health Professionals will be reformatted and edited for free download small pdf handout files.. They will be transferred from an in house website and included on Rosscraft main sites at www.rosscraft.ca and www.rosscraftinnovations.com. with access from links other sites.

Although publishers of Journals and Books are responding to the reality of information technology, the publication lag and access is unacceptable. Mary observes from the time requesting quotations on instruments for grants for projects, the process of grant submission, . training personnel, assembling the data, writing reports, submission for publication, refereeing, the publication and marketing ten takes 5 years and more: many times never. The publications that winnow their way often are often LPU’s (least publishable units or posters) of questionable merit and rarely offer access to the data or evidence on which they are based.

www.rosscraftreferencelibrary.com will serve as an archive for coauthors/translators, editors, collators, scholars and scientists who are involved in creative units.. An updated of present posted file on our website, The BMI: Conspiracy of Ignorance, is based on a presentation by WD Ross and the late OG Eiben in Children and Youth at the Beginning of the 21st Century, 7th International Symposium on Human Biology.. Köszeg, Hungary 25-28 April 2001,

The second is an invited presentation on Body Composition: Demise of the Density Criterion in a course taught by Dr. Robin Carr at the A special presentation at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver 11 October 2001,

Because of widespread prepublication circulation and collegial input, the free download files are in essence continually refereed. The comments have been addressed and the file re-edited, the process on the downloaded versions will continue to be matters for discussion and debate.

Will Rosscraft animated files be made available in presentation mode? Mary says, yes, whenever the market warrants inclusion as products through our sales and service division. Some may be bundled with other products; or included as email attachments to FAQ’s (frequently asked questions) . Other small files in presentation mode may be downloaded from time to time. e.g. Kinanthropometry Definition.ppt.

Daryl Austman, our web master will also upload Involvement Projects for FORs Friends of Rosscraft who wish to submit items, serve as contributors, volunteer collators, editors or topical editors e.g. CompBib, Links.

November 2007, Surrey, BC
Novermber 2007. Bill wrote an testimonial essay for Dr Éva Bodzsár of Eotvos Lorand University, Budapest, Hungary on the occasion of her 60th birtday anniversary. In addition to a congratulatory salutation, is an essay of a sort as he says for "those who have a defective complement of the X chromosome".

Five perspectives on human biology and the health professions that continue to resonate were exemplified by Florence Nightingale, a pioneer, in health and social statistics, Barbara Heath who envisioned a taxonomy of the human species, Johanna Faulhaber for her dedication and analyses of infant and child growth, Deborah Kerr, for her view on the fractionation of body mass, and leadership in the specialization of sport dietetics, and Éva Bodzsár for helping bring meaning and purpose to human biology: involving and sharing with others. The underlying theme was that women have as great a potential power of accomplishment as men and are deserving of equal opportunity to contribute and lead
